HISTORY

Holistic Body Work (HBW) was first incorporated in 1978 in Floral Park N.Y. under the tutelage Of Ms. Autumn Tankleff, a certified Shiatsu Massage Therapist and instructor.

Along with Mr. I. Sandford Schwartz the noted holistic nutritionist they soon outgrew their facility there and, in 1982, moved to the Great Neck Medical Center building at the corner of Lakeville Road and Northern Boulevard.

In 1983 Dr. Howard Asness took over the stewardship of HBW and added the aspect of the finest of Chiropractic Alternative Health Care to the already successful holistic approach of Holistic Body Work.

In 2004 Dr. Asness moved the offices to their current location at 515 Herricks Road, Suite 2, New Hyde Park, NY 11040.

This April 2008 marked the 25th anniversary of that "joining of their forces" to successfully fulfill their mission "to bring the finest in alternative health care to our entire patient family."
